Omni API vs going direct

Published · Radiant Crest Inc. (makers of the Omni API)

If you use models from several AI vendors, one aggregated API like Omni saves accounts, integration work and money: one key, one balance, and prices below list. If you depend on one vendor’s newest beta features, need a direct contract or capacity guarantees, or have negotiated your own high-volume rate, going direct is the better choice.

Vendor prices are their public list prices, checked 15 Oct 2026; the Suno figure is its Pro plan ($10 for about 500 songs). Omni prices are what you are charged today. Image, video and audio calls are billed on the exact work each job does, so prices marked ≈ are typical and a job can cost less. Taxes not included.

How we compared

Vendor prices are their public list prices as published on 15 October 2026: OpenAI’s API pricing page, ElevenLabs’ API pricing page, Suno’s Pro plan, and the official prices of Google, Anthropic, ByteDance, Kling and MiniMax models. Omni prices are what the API charges today, including its margin. Image, video and audio jobs are billed on the exact work each job does, so figures marked ≈ are typical rather than fixed. We do not compare against other aggregators’ prices here because they change often and we could not verify them all.

Trade-offs to know

  • An extra hop. Requests pass through Omni and an inference provider, which can add a little latency compared with calling the vendor directly.
  • Feature timing. Standard request formats work at once; brand-new vendor-specific options may arrive later.
  • Who you contract with. Your agreement is with Radiant Crest Inc., not with each model vendor.
